I'm not talking dancing on
the tables, ecstatic joy every moment of every day.
But I am talking about basic contentment, with who you are,
and where you are in life.
Many people answer this
question with a "conditional" no that sounds something like
this:
I'll be happy when...
I get thin, a boyfriend, girlfriend, promotion, new car, new
house, independently wealthy, married, pregnant,
famous, more appreciation, respect, love, etc.
This external approach to the
pursuit of happiness sometimes works in the short term but
rarely produces lasting happiness. Normally you work
long and hard to get what you want, and by the time you get
it, you've set your sights on something different.
When you develop your
personal foundation, however, you not only change your
experience of the world from the inside out, you
dramatically increase your power to affect the world around
you, and your chances of getting all the external things you
want.
Are you
ready to take full responsibility for your life, and willing
to do what it takes to get happy?
If you are unhappy and it's
someone else's fault, coaching wont help you. If it
sure feels like someone else's fault, but you are open to
the possibility that you have more power than you think,
this may be the time to make the leap.
