| Private coaching is the most
direct and efficient path to getting you to your next level,
whatever that is. It includes several scheduled
coaching conversations each month, along with e-mail
interaction that is custom built around your needs.
The fee is monthly, and for most situations you'll want to
plan on committing to at least six months.
In fact, it's common for
executives to have coaches on an ongoing basis as they
strive to be as effective as they possibly can be at work,
while also building more effective personal relationships
and establishing a balance that keeps them at the top of
their game in all areas of life. I have many clients I
have worked with for six years or more. The type of work we
do together changes over time, supporting whatever new
challenges show up at each level of success.
It is also possible to
purchase coaching sessions in "packages", in the case that
you just want to to work through an upcoming decision, or
get the feel for what working with a coach is like.
There is a typical pattern to
monthly coaching: month one is usually positive and
exciting, and then in month two you begin to question
everything and wonder if you are getting anywhere at all.
If you work hard through this cycle, you usually begin to
see your first significant results by the end of month
three, and then by month six people are noticing that you've
changed, and your life is different. For this
reason, I rarely take on clients for less than a three month
engagement or a "10-pack" of sessions, and would much prefer
you entering into our relationship with an intention of
committing to a minimum of 6 months or 20 coaching sessions.
If you would like to discuss
private coaching for yourself, this is the process:
1. Schedule a complimentary
telephone consultation that runs approximately 20 - 30
minutes by calling (949) 495-1021.
2. If you decide to get
started, you will receive a welcome packet via e-mail which
includes a coaching agreement, policy overview, payment
information, and questions on your goals for our first six
months together.
3. Payments are due in
advance, at the beginning of each month, or prior to the
start of a "package" of sessions. You may set up payments
via paypal (which accepts credit cards), or by check, and I
am happy to send you regular invoices for your convenience.
However, the understanding is that coaching begins once
payment is received, and it is the client's responsibility
to insure that ongoing payments are made on time or early.
4. Once the welcome packet is
complete and payment is received, we schedule your first
several coaching sessions. Most coaching conversations
are held over the phone and run 30 minutes or more depending
on your needs.
5. Again, depending on your
needs, we set up an ongoing progress tracking and
accountability system via e-mail. This can include
sharing a journal entry, venting about a frustrating
situation, sending me daily "top 5", or writing weekly
progress reports. The system we set up is entirely
determined by your style, what you are working to achieve,
and the support system that works best to get you there.
The result is that once we
are working together, you have a partner standing for you
and with you, continuously, enabling you to work more
effectively, and enjoy successes faster. What would
you shoot for?
