Group Coaching and Teleclass Protocol

1. Schedule uninterrupted time and a private place to participate in the call.  You’ll be much more present’ if your mind and body can relax and focus.  This is not a good time to fold the laundry, pay bills, or handle e-mail!

2. Use your telephone mute button, if available, to shut out background noise.  Dogs barking, TV noise, people talking or coughing in the background can be a distraction for everyone on the call.  If you don’t have a mute button on your phone, not to worry, you may press *6 to mute yourself and *6 to un-mute yourself, or just call from a very quiet location.

3. Do NOT place the class “ON HOLD” if you have an interruption.  You may not realize that you have hold music on your phone, and the entire class will be unable to communicate during this time.  If you have an interruption, please use *6 to mute the call, or if this is impossible, hang up, and call back in when you are able.

4. If you have a “call-waiting” feature on your line, please disable it before dialing in to the call by dialing *70.   After you hang up, your call-waiting feature automatically resumes.

5. Please DO NOT USE SPEAKERPHONES. The clarity and quality simply isn’t good enough when broadcasting to a larger group.  Regular wired phones are preferred.  Cordless phones and headsets most often work fine, but if you or others hear recurring static, we will need to problem-solve the source.  If you are calling from a cell phone, please make sure you have clear reception.

6. When you share, please say, “Mary, this is Michael.” The instructor will respond by saying, “Yes Michael, go ahead.” Then say whatever you’d like. We request that you keep comments as short as possible (to allow others to be included), and that your comments be constructive and positive.

7. If you begin speaking at the same time as another participant, pause, and the instructor will facilitate the order of comments.

8. Call in precisely at the time of the class.  There will be no one in the “classroom” until class starts.  If you must leave the class early, please notify the leader.

9. All Aspyrre Community classes are recorded for the use of Aspyrre Community members.  To protect the privacy of our members, we only use first names, and we may choose to take a topic off-line if it becomes too personal or uncomfortable for a participant.  However we do encourage all participants to share freely, and many choose to.  Therefore, we ask that all members honor each others privacy when participating on a live call, and when listening to a recorded call, to maintain a safe environment for all members.
