UPCOMING PRESENTATIONS AND WORKSHOPS:
FEBRUARY- Theme for February: Conquering Obstacles to
Success
This month the theme for our Aspyrre Community workshops is
“Recognizing and Overcoming Obstacles to Success”. In each
session we will review the pyramid model of obstacles to
success, and clarify what it takes to be aligned at each
level of the pyramid. Then we will do a deep dive into a
particular obstacle so that you can understand it more
thoroughly and learn some great tools to manage and
eventually eliminate it, resulting in less distraction and
more rapid progress towards your goals.
Class 1:
Facing Your Fears & the Panic-Elation Cycle- (Tele-class)
Friday, February 5th- 12:00noon to 1:00m pacific time on the
telephone
In this class we’ll focus on fear, and the emotional
rollercoaster that shows up when you are working to make big
changes in your life. The biggest fear is often, “what if I
fail”, or “what if I run out of resources before I succeed?”
But the experience of this fear is more extreme, something
like, “what if I destroy my entire family and way of life to
chase after something that is really just a silly personal
indulgence?” In the class we will talk about ways to stay
grounded so you can mitigate your risks and assess your
progress in a more tangible way. Much of what we discuss
will build on the “learn, plan, act” model discussed in the
Values Based Goal Setting Classes.
This tele-class is open to Aspyrre Community members and
clients only.
Class 2:
Conquering Obstacles to Success-
(In-Person)
Wednesday, February 10th- 9:00am to 12:00noon at Chapman’s
Brandman Campus, Irvine
At this professional development meeting we will do a three
hour workshop on the obstacles pyramid, and dive deeply into
the key drivers of motivation. You will have an opportunity
to identify the two or three things that slow you down
personally and get behind the pattern to the inner conflicts
that drive it. We’ll walk through a step by step process
that allows you to identify your individual needs and then
choose how you want to address what you discover. In some
cases just the new awareness by itself will increase your
energy and allow you to move forward with more clarity. In
other cases you may want to add an action plan that is new
and complimentary to your current goals. As always, when we
do exercises that bring personal insight, you will have the
opportunity to share with the group or keep your thoughts to
yourself. This is a powerful workshop that busts downs
barriers and widens the door to success.

Class 3:
Review & Progress Check on our
Values-Based Goals
- (Tele-class)
Friday, February 26th- 12:00noon to 1:00pm pacific time on
the telephone
In this class we’ll go back to the basics by looking at our
goals, reviewing the material from the values-based goal
setting class, and assessing how we have each progressed
over the past month. In this tele-class, material will be
customized to the needs of the participants. In the first
part of the teleclass we’ll have a 20 minute training and
overview of the material, and then we will use the rest of
our time to apply it to our individual situations. Usually
we have time to work with three or four people on the call,
so there is no pressure to come to the call with something
to share. The experience of being a “fly on the wall” and
listening to others resolve issues and conflicts with their
goals is powerful because it allows us to see a situation
with fresh eyes and an outside perspective. We usually
wrap up the call with all sharing the gems they got from
listening to the applied situations. Usually this call runs
one hour, but occasionally I will go an extra 15 minutes if
we are in a good discussion. We welcome you for however
long you can spend and it is never a problem if you need to
jump off early.

We're going to deal with finances on several
levels this month. We will have experts come
in to share how to set up your finances if you are
starting a business, as well as hold classes on your
relationship with and beliefs about money, which are
often exactly what lurks behind financial
self-sabotage. |

Sales and Marketing |
Being able to sell yourself comfortably is the
biggest key to business and career success.
This month we will talk about sales and marketing
strategy as well as get into the psychology of the
sales conversation and take a look at what makes it
so awkward and embarrassing. Our goal this
month is to get everyone up on a sales system they
are comfortable with so they can enjoy selling and
also get results! |

Systems for Success / Productivity |
The second biggest key to success after being
able to sell yourself, is being able to manage your
time so you are not drained by the demands of your
business when it gets too busy. This month
we'll look at techniques from the e-myth for
business, as well as have each member create systems
for what they do. In addition we'll go beyond
time management to looking at what drains your
energy and how you can feel more energized and
focused each day, even when you have a lot going on. |
